Add internal note
Save team context inside the conversation without sending it to the customer.
Use a test channel or sample conversation first. Confirm the visible result in ValueChat before applying the setup to production traffic.
How it works
- 01
When to use
When to use. Record confirmed customer details, troubleshooting already performed, or a concise summary before handing the conversation to another agent or person.
- 02
Set up
Set up. In the agent editor, add Add internal note. Describe when a note is needed and which confirmed details it should contain. Use $ for linked customer values and @ for permitted references.
- 03
Example
Example. Before assigning to Support, add a short internal note containing the issue, steps already tried and the requested next action. Then use the Assignment skill.
- 04
What happens
What happens. ValueChat saves a private note in the conversation timeline, attributed to the AI agent. It keeps the conversation status and assignee unchanged. The note is not a customer reply.
- 05
Order matters
Order matters. Write the note before assignment or closing. Both operations stop the current agent. Do not put passwords or unnecessary sensitive details in a note.
- 06
Test mode
Test mode. Test Agent shows a simulated action without saving a real note. A live skill requires explicit enablement.
What to verify
✓The expected channel, conversation, contact or execution is visible.
✓The assigned person or agent matches the routing rule.
✓No customer-facing message claims an action that failed.
✓Activity or execution history contains enough context to investigate.
Collect the workspace, channel, conversation and execution identifiers, then contact support@valuechat.app. Never send API keys or passwords.
