WhatsApp channel setup

Connect a supported WhatsApp business number and understand message and campaign requirements.

Before you start

Use a test channel or sample conversation first. Confirm the visible result in ValueChat before applying the setup to production traffic.

How it works

  1. 01

    Connection

Connection. Use the WhatsApp options actually enabled in channel setup, such as the configured Cloud API or Embedded Signup path. Meta business eligibility, number ownership and installation credentials must be ready first.

  2. 02

    Messages

Messages. Route the resulting inbox to the intended person or AI agent, then verify incoming and outgoing delivery. Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp are separate channels even when they use the same Meta application.

  3. 03

    Templates and campaigns

Templates and campaigns. Messages outside the permitted customer-service window can require an approved WhatsApp template. Campaigns also depend on recipient consent, the selected number, template eligibility, provider limits and billing readiness.

  4. 04

    Limits

Limits. A number shown in a connection dialog is not proof that it has completed verification, supports calls or can send bulk messages. Provider charges and approvals are separate from ValueChat configuration.

What to verify

✓The expected channel, conversation, contact or execution is visible.

✓The assigned person or agent matches the routing rule.

✓No customer-facing message claims an action that failed.

✓Activity or execution history contains enough context to investigate.
